Marcotte was 27 years old. Marcotte worked for Google in New York City. She had come to visit her parents in Massachusetts in August 2016 when she went for a walk on the afternoon of August 7, 2016, and when Marcotte did not return home after a long time, Vanessa’s parents reported her missing report to the police. Marcotte’s body was found later that evening in a forest not far from his family’s home.
