Danica Sue Patrick is an American famous former professional racing driver. She is the most famous and successful woman in the history of American open-wheel car racing. She is the only woman to have won an IndyCar Series race in 2008.

She was Born on 25 march 1982 to a working-class family in Beloit, Wisconsin. She is the daughter of Beverly Ann and Terry Joseph “T. J.” Patrick Jr. Patrick began karting at age ten and achieved early success in the mid-1990s, winning his class three times at the World Karting Association Grand National Championships. She dropped out of high school in 1998 with the permission of her parents and moved to the United Kingdom to pursue her career.
Her parents met on a blind date at a snowmobile event in the 1970s when Flaten was a mechanic for a friend’s snowmobile. Patrick has a younger sister, Brooke, a pediatric physical therapist. She is half Norwegian, as well as part Irish, French-Canadian, Italian, and Native American. Patrick was raised in Roscoe, Illinois.
She was a cheerleader at Hononegah Community High School in nearby Rockton in 1996.[8] She spent her off-time babysitting for a nearby family when she was not kart racing. Initially, she had no interest in racing. Patrick thought of a career as either a singer or a veterinarian. When Patrick was ten and eight respectively, their parents sought a hobby that would bring the family closer together. They saved money to purchase a pontoon boat, but its owner did not respond to their offer. The sisters told their parents of their wish to race go-karts after a friend of Brooke’s allowed her to drive one; they were each given a go-kart.
Patrick started karting at Sugar River Raceway in Brodhead, Wisconsin. Her father acted as her crew chief, and her mother kept statistics on her racing. Patrick had no role models, idols, or motivations she was “striving to achieve [her-]self as a female.” Rather than “motivation”, she was aiming to “be the best [she] could be”.
That meant she would not try and bet up to other people; she would only try and improve herself. “Patrick” also made no “dedications”, and with “no accomplishments” she was expected to accomplish “nothing”. All she wanted to do was enjoy driving karts “like the rest of the girls.” At first, her racing career was concentrated at Sugar River Raceway, Following her interest in kart racing, Patrick dabbled in snowmobiles, motocross, and midget car racing.
At the age of 13, Patrick discovered her parents were denying her permission to compete, so she asked if she could move to California and compete throughout the year. Her parents, who had business commitments being away from home, declined her request. Nevertheless, she ventured across much of the entire United States, and around the globe, to ensure she could race.[18] For the greater part of her life, she has competed full-time. She has won ten regional karting titles, World Karting Association Grand National Championship three times in HPV class three times (once in 1994; once in 1996; and once in 1997).
