The Monkey And The Dolphin is an amazing story. One day, long ago, some sailors set out to sea in their ship. One of them brought his pet monkey along for the long journey.
When they were far out at sea, a terrible storm overturned their ship.
Everyone fell into the sea, and the monkey was sure that he would drown. Just then, out of the water rose a dolphin with a big splash. He said to the monkey, ‘Don’t worry, dear friend. Hop on to my back and I’ll take you to safety.’
They soon reached an island and the monkey jumped off the dolphin’s back, glad to be on land again.
The dolphin asked the monkey, “do you know this place?”
The monkey replied, “Yes, I do. In fact, the king of the island is my best friend. Do you know that I am actually a prince?”
The dolphin was surprised. He knew that no one lived on the island. He said, “Well, well, so you are a prince! Well, now you can be a king!”
The monkey asked in surprise “how can I be a king?”
The dolphin turned around with a splash and started swimming away.
From a distance, he answered “That is easy. As you are the only creature on this island, you will naturally be the king!”
