On July 6, 2022 Georgia Monument heavily damaged by explosion.

Explosion hit the stones and destroy the one slab out of 5 slab and causing a significant damage to the capstone.

A capstone lay on top of the five slabs, which were astronomically aligned and one slab stood in the center, with four arranged around it.

The monument was 19 feet 3 inches (5.87 m) tall, made from six slabs of granite weighing 237,746 pounds (107,840 kg) in total.

Christian explained that the Georgia Guidestones would function as a compass, calendar and clock.

The roadside attraction  Georgia Guidestone is enigmatic and was built from local granite in 1980.
