What language is used in short stories?
Language is an important part of human connection. Language helps people to develop textual analysis skills of various literary works. Language is used to reason, to express ideas, argue a point, provide directions, and much more. The poets use Aesthetic language in which they use pictures and the beauty of chosen words and phrases.
Although all species have their language for communication. Human beings use easy and understandable language so that everyone can understand.
Aesthetic language
You can use Aesthetic language in short stories.
Aesthetic language includes using words artistically, in the same way, that a painter uses in painting to create something beautiful/artistic/memorable. Writers don’t necessarily focus on what they want to say, but rather on how they say it.
Poetry is the most obvious example of aesthetic language, but the purpose of all types of writing is to aesthetically appeal to the reader. Remember, the message may be ugly, but the story content should always be beautiful.
In aesthetic language includes REPETITION, CONTRAST, HYPERBOLE, RHETORICAL QUESTIONS, EMPHATIC WORDS, LISTS / TRIADS, ALLITERATION, ONOMATOPOEIA.
